On the evening of the 3rd march 2007 in the UK there was a complete lunar eclipse. It started at around 9.15pm.
A Lunar Eclipse is when the Earth gets between Sun and the Moon causing the Earth's shadow to obscure the Moon. What you can't see from the video is the reddish glow that remains, as the Sun's rays still give a very slight reflection off the surface.

I am currently the online workshop coordinator for the International Baccalaureate Organisation's Professional Development and Research Division. Previously for 19 years I was a Primary School teacher at Cefn Fforest Primary School where for the last 3 years I worked to give our pupils the oppportunity to develop their own voice on a global scale through the use of Blogs, Podcasts etc. This enabled to make some wonderful Web2.0 educational friends around the world...... the world is indeed flat.
